Better than what I expected For a specific reason and I'm dying to Know your guesses on this camera War I'm Betting none of you maybe some of you Got it right but I'm betting it's very Little of you because I didn't buy a Cheap webcam for this like I I first was Planning on doing like a LogiTech C920 Or maybe even going up to like the Logitech stream cam which is newer looks A little bit better but it's still sub 100 on Amazon right now I didn't do any Of that in fact I didn't spend any money On a webcam at all I instead used a like 1200 1300 camera I don't I don't Remember I should know this but I'm Gonna show you it's the camera That was already in my pocket Yeah I just used my phone I used Epoch Cam And with how good these cameras are Getting This thing looks amazing here check this Out you can see up top here I've got Epoc camera I guess Elgato camera Hub That's controlling Epoch Cam and it's Feeding into OBS down here my phone is Just wired directly into my laptop over A USB cable and there is Very little delay there That's pretty good And on top of that you can control which Camera you want so if you want to go Wider you can go wider you want to

Really zoom in I mean you can it's a weird thing to do But you can and obviously the One X is Their highest quality camera so that's What's going to work the best here but For a zero dollar Budget on camera this Is a fantastic option especially if You've upgraded your phone sometime in The last two to three years and for Lighting you're probably also noticing That I'm pretty well lit and I was Originally planning on getting those Amazon soft boxes it's like two for Sixty dollars or something like that and Those are a great option as long as you Have some space for those deep soft Boxes instead I decided to opt for the Light source that I already had which Was my window and you can see if I walk Around here It's just my window Covered by a gigantic diffuser which Makes it look amazing it's so soft this Is a 25 white sheet essentially it's Designed for diffusion that's what it's For but it was 20 feet long and five Feet wide so I can hang it from floor to Ceiling and have it go over twice and it Does the job really well so if you've Got a window and you can use it that is A great option and as for the mic I Grabbed my little favorite guy the Razer Siren mini this has been one of my Favorite microphones it may not have

Been sounding as good because it's been On the desk far away from me but picking Up a cheap arm or a cheap stand and Getting it a little bit closer like this I mean you can hear it's going to make a Huge difference in quality proximity to The microphone is a massive thing that Takes zero dollars but gives a very Solid Improvement to your sound quality So what end up being my budget for all Of this so total cost for this setup uh Epoch cam Pro which is what I'm using Right now is I want to say eight dollars Permanently a one-time cost if you're on A Mac you can actually also just use Continuity camera for free it just your Mac recognizes your phone as a webcam That's another great option but I did Find that you have some fewer options There you can't change the lenses you Don't have the adjustments that you have In the camera Hub by Elgato but also a Great choice but eight dollars for that Sheet was 25 that makes 33 dollars total And then this microphone is 40 bucks That brings us the grand total 73 Dollars for this entire setup tell me Tell me what you think is this a usable Setup for 73 dollars total I think so Let's move on to mid-range give me a sec Anita I need to set it up [Music] Finding like a middle budget stream set

Up has gotten really hard so mid-range Used to be like a stop between budget And pro that you would get on your way Towards upgrading now it seems like a Different end goal if you want higher Quality stuff but you don't want to deal With a full-on camera and a capture card You just get a really nice webcam and so That's kind of what we're dealing with Here this is like end game for people Who like to keep it simple Let's let's jump in and see what it Looks like moving up to the mid tier is An interesting process because you only Get like a slight bump in quality but You do get a huge bump in feature set Quality of life ease of use so for Example the webcam I went with a FaceCam Pro and it's only a slight quality Upgrade over my iPhone with using Epoch Cam going from an eight dollar hipot cam To 300 FaceCam Pro but it does mean that Every time I want to stream I don't have To set up my phone and I can actually Use my phone as a phone it also means I Get 4k 60 recording quality and so I can Do Zoom ins punches PTZ a bunch of other Controls that I didn't get with the Phone and with the Elgato Wave 3 Microphone it is a better sounding Microphone but like not enough to bring In new followers but instead you have Options for a shock mount or a pop Filter you have a mute button on top or

The entire wavelength software that Allows you to mix all your different Audio sources separately another Difficulty about doing mid-tier stuff is It's I try to avoid this but it always Ends up being in Elgato show like Elgato Makes good premium mid-tier stuff they Understand that if you want a good like The best mid-range product you make it Slightly above mid-range with amazing Software and that's what they do every Time and they nail it so the light is The Elgato key light it's super Convenient you can turn it on and off From the stream deck it's really well Diffused so you get a nice even light it Comes with a nice desk Mount stand I Could have chosen a number of other Lights some that I actually really like But none of them quite have the large Surface area and properly diffused high Quality light so it feels like doing a System like this is what you do instead Of going pro if you don't ever feel like Going full mirrorless camera you want Something simple in Plug and Play you go With the FaceCam Pro but I want to show You how easy it is and it's kind of Cheap now to get a good Pro setup so Let's jump into that the best thing About Pro builds is you can do whatever Anything your brain can think of like You could turn it into a pro build like This setup right here we used this this

Was a setup on stream and it looks super Cool so I'm going to be building one of Them with some reasonably priced Pro Gear All right what you're looking at now is What I would consider a reasonable Pro Setup before I jump into this have you Noticed much of a difference between This camera and the previous ones do a Side by side first let's put it next to The iPhone side by side so you can kind Of see the difference here now let's do A side by side between this one and the Elgato FaceCam Pro What's what's the difference that you're Seeing here first of all you're going to Get a little bit more accurate colors You're going to get a little bit more Dynamic range so the highs and the lows Can all be in the same shot without Blowing out but mostly the big one is You're going to get a blurrier Background and that's due to the lens The lens here is the sigma 16 millimeter F 1.4 and I only have the Canon version Of it so this is actually on the Canon M200 which is a great camera very Similar to like the Sony a5100 those are Both great budget mirrorless cameras for Content creators in fact you can get Them both on eBay sometimes less than 300 and then less than 200 for the lens Like you can get this whole camera kit For 500 bucks which is why I call it a a

Reasonable Pro setup and just for fun by The way let me start this one recording Here just to compare this if you want to Know what a a reasonable Pro is compared To an over-the-top Pro next to this Camera I've got a 2200 Lumix S5 2x with About a thousand dollar lens on it so Just so you can see like reasonable Pro Five hundred dollars and then pro pro 32 3 500 notice the difference side by side It's crazy how Pro you can get it gets Fun it gets expensive Let's jump into the mic this is also Very reasonable Pro Audio so this is the Elgato wave DX it's a 99 microphone and It's plugged into the Elgato wave XLR I Specifically used this microphone Because it's kind of been tuned to sound Good right out of the box I mean you can Go full send The Shure sm7b in fact let's do that Real quick I'm eyeballing all this let's Hope it sounds good but honestly what's The difference between this microphone Testing testing one two three on the Sm7b testing testing one two three on The wave DX do you notice a difference Between the two a 400 mic versus how Does it sound on the wave DX is there Any difference and the last piece is the Lighting the last thing you might notice Is that I don't have hot spots on my Face at all that's because my surface Area for my light has gone from
