Hey How are you how have you been how's your Day how's your week been mine's been Busy I got diagnosed with ADHD recently And then last week they prescribed me Adderall and like Whoa I don't know if I should be talking About this actually the very beginning Of this video but like is this is this How you all think normally I get so much Done anyway I don't know where the line Is on that subject so we're going to Slowly backpedal here but anyway you Know what's something we haven't done in A long time I think it's been a couple Years since we last talked about General Tips growing on social media and I gotta Tell you not only have things changed But based on your questions that you Asked me during my live streams which Are either on YouTube or twitch I'm just Kind of streaming everywhere right now But based on those questions you have a Lot a lot of new questions and they're Good questions not to mention these tip Videos are like some of the most popular Videos on the channel so I don't know Why it's taken me so long but let's Tackle some of these biggest questions Let's answer some of these things let's Have a little session together maybe Help each other and hopefully by the end Of this video you will change at least One thing about your social media

Live at the link in the description down Below and make sure you use code Senpai For 15 off also while you're there check Out the loop deck live s for something a Little bit smaller simpler and more Affordable lots of great options back to The video Let's just Dive Right into This let's start number one with a story That nobody ever expects I posted my First YouTube video in 2006. I'm Actually kind of proud of that should we Show it on screen I don't know if I I Don't know if I wanted okay okay that's Enough that's that's all you get to see That was Paris that had the metabolism Of a toddler I was drinking like three Mountain Dews a day couldn't gain a Pound not anymore I do miss those days 30s errors could never but back to Content creation social media I posted YouTube videos regularly from 2006 and Didn't see a single dollar until 2014. That was when I actually found success On social media and I did it making Music with my wife so it's kind of fun That you know full circle over there and The way we found success on YouTube was By switching to Vine if you remember Vine blowing up on Vine and then moving That audience over to YouTube and then If we're going to continue that story a Little bit more as that career petered Off over the next year or two around 2015 I started the alpha gaming channel

And didn't see any success until 2019. Four years later even after I had a Successful YouTube career and with all The knowledge that I had gained from That I couldn't replicate it for another Four years I mean we're talking hundreds And hundreds of videos and equipment and Hours of editing and the point I'm Trying to make this is leading to a Point here the point I'm trying to make Is be patient with yourself it is Tempting to say hey here's a successful YouTuber I'm gonna try to do that thing How come I don't find that success in a Couple months the thing is you never see The struggle in these YouTubers because Usually you don't find them until They're finished with the struggle stop Trying to find a viral video now and Spend some time on yourself Develop your skills develop your camera Skills your knowledge your editing Skills develop your voice and your value Viewers will come if you focus on that But speaking of your voice and your Value let's move over to number two what Kind of content should you post oh this Is a big one do you know how hard it is To answer this question given how many Different kinds of YouTube channels are Successful you can make a successful YouTube channel on anything but then how Do you grow after examining hundreds of Channels doing this full time for the

Better part of a decade now I can tell You that if you're brand new the best Thing you can do is Niche down when you Start I know variety content seems like The most fun but until people get Attached to you it's really hard to get Them to come back when they have no idea What your next video is going to be my Best suggestion is to find a niche one That you can be unique in I don't mean a Brand new Niche that's never been tapped Before I just mean one that maybe you Can do differently than everyone else And then while you're making these Videos make sure you share two to three Things about you that make you unique And get the people to subscribe for you And this is where we're getting into Specifics that I don't really want to Get into because everybody's going to be Different but that can be as simple as a Personality Quirk maybe it can be really Good camera presence maybe it could be Great hair I don't know but bring them In for a topic get them to stay for you And slowly over time expand with the Whole world of YouTubers and all the Exceptions and all the success studies That seems to be the most reliable way To do this Let's move on to number three tip number Three this one's a little bit more uh Rational a little more black and white Might be a little bit easier to swallow

But be efficient with the way you make Content I can tell you if you're trying To make regular YouTube videos and Regular live streams and regular tick Tocks and reels and regular all the Things I promise you That's a nightmare you will either not Be able to do it or not be able to do it Very long those are really your only two Options there unless unless you learn to Make some content out of other content Let me explain I want to use podcasts as The best example of this you can record An hour-long podcast and then from that Hour-long podcast you can find 10 minute Segments that are on a specific topic That you can cut into individual Episodes maybe find two to three per Podcast episode if you're podcasting Once a week that is almost weekday daily Content and then from that you can find Three minute little highlight segments That you can maybe throw on another Channel straight from those 10 minute Segments and then from those you can Find one minute short segments that you Can clip into vertical and throw those On Tick Tock and shorts from a single Podcast once a week you've now found Every single piece of content throughout The Spectrum and the great thing about Live streaming is it works the same way If you want to plan one to two little Ten minute segments during your stream

That you know can be YouTube videos That's great if you want to set up the Vertical plug-in inside OBS to Automatically grab tick tocks while You're live pre-edited to slap them up After your stream you can do that now I'm not saying don't make original Content for all the other things but all I'm saying is be smart with your time Work smarter not harder supplement the Occasional original content with a bunch Of reconstituted great content it's a Great way to grow it's a great way to Get started and as much as I hate to say It a lot of the social media game is About Quantity not quality don't quote me on That you didn't hear that from me Quality quality Quantity number four can we bring it Down a little bit can we make this a Little bit of a personal therapy session Just for a moment because this is the One that I've been struggling with for a Very long time and I bet you are too That's okay we're gonna struggle Together but maybe we can get some Direction from this moment here the most Common question I get because it's the Hardest question to figure out is what Kind of content should I post I've got a Four Circle Venn diagram do you know What a four Circle Venn diagram looks Like we know what a two Circle Venn

Diagram that's very simple three Circle Also very simple four Circle A lot of People think it looks like this but then Where's the pairing between the top and The bottom and the left and the right it Doesn't exist in this one no check this Out a four Circle Venn diagram looks Like this that is Bonkers I checked it Too it makes sense you get every Combination with this thing but there Are four things that you should consider When trying to figure out what your Content is number one it should be Something you're good at so you can Stand out amongst the hundreds of other People doing that same thing number two It should be something you love not only Will people see the passion that you're Injecting into the content but you won't Burn out as fast if it's something that You enjoy number three you should try to Make it something unique that's very Hard to do in 2023 trust me I know that But you can take something that's been Done and add a unique spin to it and Number four probably the hardest one is It has to be something that you can make A lot of videos out of something with Longevity because I can tell you I've Come up with ideas for the first three a Million times and then I ask myself After the fourth video What do I make I come up with nothing Then I gotta scrap the whole idea what

Can you make videos of multiple times a Month Forever Yeah it's rough but if you find all four Of these things what you end up finding Is your unique value what you bring to The table that viewers aren't going to Get from anywhere else and I can tell You my three favorite YouTubers there's Overlap with other YouTubers but they Bring me a specific value that I don't Get from anyone else and if you're Having a hard time with that it might be Worth some self-reflection spend some Time in bed at night spend some time on A walk listening to stream beats ambient That's my favorite thing that's not a Shameless plug Yeah it is but this is a worthwhile Question not only for your content Creation career but also for your mental Fortitude for your inner strength your Inner I was about to say inner Barbie But I haven't seen that movie yet feels Like it would fit here though what is Your unique value and if you don't know What the answer to that is what an Opportunity if you don't have a unique Value already established you get to Choose what you want it to be and then Go out and start today start developing That value what's the thing that you Want to bring to the people around you Start doing it I believe in you

Sounds like an adventure Number five I had to learn this one the Hard way recently if I can be real with You this has been uh this has been Something that's taken a toll on me I Have this bad habit of turning every Single thing that I'm interested in Turning every single hobby into another Aspect of my career and from the outside Looking in that's great I love Everything that I do for my job my jobs Are just my hobbies but then you don't Really think about it until you get into The thick of it you no longer have Hobbies anymore they're just jobs There's this weird thing that happens The moment you get a paycheck for doing Something you love you kind of love that Thing a little less I wish it didn't Work that way but I would suggest Find something to do outside of what you Do be okay keeping something unmonetized And I know that's like a giant red flag In today's social media monetize Everything find something that you don't Monetize find something you just enjoy Highly recommend it but what do you Think were these helpful did any of These speak to you help you at all leave That in the comments down below and if You don't have an answer to either those Questions just leave an emoji leave your Favorite emoji for engagement helps me Out a bunch hit the like button while

You're down there thank you I think I'm Gonna get back to playing a little bit Of guitar and not making any money off Of it and that's been nice So it's been great I love you see you Next time and as always Happy streaming [Music]
