Streaming two different horizontal Streams to different services and this Is super cool especially for people who Want to restream to YouTube or maybe use Different alerts for two different Streams for example I use my main canvas To stream to Twitch and to kick and I Use them multi rtmp server over there But if I want to stream to YouTube you Only get the high quality encoding if You're in 1440p or 4K so now I can have 1080p h264 encoding over on Twitch and Kick and I can have 1440p encoding with Av1 over on YouTube and I can even have My YouTube alerts on one and my twitch Alerts on the other anyway super cool Tool you can basically now do anything Multistreaming because of this update so I'll put a link to the vertical plugin Down below it's been downloaded over 200,000 times now which blows my mind Thank you guys for enjoying that free Plugin please continue to do so next one Streaming to YouTube that's a big Question that people are asking because They're afraid of hurting their YouTube Channel by also just slapping up every Stream on there and so let me make this Simple for you I'll tell you what some People should do and I'll tell you what I am considering doing the most Important thing you need to ask yourself Here is what content did your Subscribers subscribe to you for if your
Video content is very similar to your Live content or maybe your video content Is all taken from your live content then It seems like the people who subscribe To your video content will probably also Enjoy your live content but if you're Someone more like me who makes dedicated Videos like this and your audience has Subscribed for these videos and they Didn't subscribe for three-hour long Live streams you might not get a great Reception I've spoken to a handful of YouTubers who normally stream to Twitch And they immediately started multi Streaming over to YouTube and they Started noticing that those live stream Views immediately dropped off after the First couple at the end of the day That's just not what the those Subscribers subscribed to their channel For and it ended up taking a little bit Of a hit there's not enough data right Now to know if that hit in live streams Also translated into a hit in video Performance if I ever find that out I Will let you know but for now the best Thing you can do is ask yourself how Well do you know your audience do you Think the people who subscribe to your YouTube channel will also watch your Live streams there I don't think that's The case for me and as of right now I Don't want to risk diluting the content On this channel the videos I put so much
Effort into to by just slapping a bunch Of live streams and not even live Streams but secondhand multistream live Streams so I plan on doing one of two Things or maybe a combination of both These things I'll either be multi Streaming here when there is an event That I'm doing like when I interviewed The CEO of twitch a couple weeks ago That live stream did really well a total Across all three platforms we had about 2500 average viewers the other thing I've considered doing is only making the Live streams on this channel for my main Core audience the ones that are there You you guys know who you are the ride Or die you watch every video it doesn't Matter if it's a terrible video I never Make terrible videos sometimes I make Terrible videos but the ones that are Here for me click every time I'm Considering turning on memberships on The channel and not really making it Well known never asking you guys to Actually join a membership and pay $5 a Month but then making my streams here Members only the people who aren't Members won't even know the streams are Existing here but those people who are Clearly the core audience and really Enjoy the content might watch here and Then because I'm multi streaming it will Also be free on Kick and twitch also I'm Not trying to put my streams behind a
Pay wall it just seems like a way to be Live here for the people who want to Watch here while also not shoving it to Every single subscriber but anyway That's just the idea I don't know of Anyone who's ever done that before so I'll let you know how that goes let's Talk about combined chat on Twitch this Was the rule that got everyone talking And I asked Dan Clancy the CEO of twitch About this the essence of the rule is While you are allowed to combine chat in The actual chat using like those little Forwarding Bots that just are a terrible Experience you're not allowed to combine Chat into an overlay and put it on your Stream and I don't like that Rule I'm throwing a fit I'm throwing a Tantrum about it the main problem with Multistreaming is you're splitting your Audience and so if you're having a Conversation with twitch viewers and You're answering questions that kick Viewers can't even read anywhere it kind Of loses the live feel that that real Parasocial experience that people come To live streams for so the obvious Solution is to have a combined chat that Everyone can see and the obvious way to Do that is to put it on stream which I Did during my interview with Dan Clancy And I didn't actually see it until Afterwards but it turns out before the Interview he dm'd me and asked me not to
Do that he did ask nicely and then I Responded and said no because while I do Understand the reasoning that if it's Just an overlay on stream twitch can't Moderate that someone can be banned off The platform form on Twitch and just go Over to kick and insert their whatever They want to say into the twitch content They can break all of twitch to because Let's be real kick does not really have A to and they're totally safe over there So Dan's explanation was if we let Streamers do this they're going to have To ban the streamer who is allowing this Dos violation on their stream and this Is their way of avoiding having to ban Hundreds and hundreds of streamers for Stuff that kick viewers are saying and While I do understand that my response To Dan was then you need to give us an Alternative you can't just ban the most Important aspect of multistreaming and Not give us an alternative allow us to Properly combine chats into twitch chat I used a combin chat in my last stream I Used a tool called caster laabs and it Worked pretty well made by a couple Dudes little passion project little free Tool if they can make that twitch can Make that and if the combined chat is in Twitch itself then twitch moderation Still applies and it solves that problem But at the end of the day I've still Been combining chat and putting it on
Stream because right now it's the only Option I used caster laabs for that as Well and it worked pretty well I like That I didn't have to put the platform Logo on it instead I can just color the Names based on their platform that way It makes it just a little bit harder for Twitch to prove that it was kick chat And then also if something goes wrong I Have a stream deck button that just Removes the chat from my stream it seems Like the last rule where you weren't Allowed to multistream but not a single Person ever got banned for it I don't Think this rule is actually going to be Enforced unless there are really really Toxic moments like I don't think you're Going to get banned just for having the Chat on stream you're going to get Banned if you let people be toxic in That multistream but that's just Harris Heler talking I who knows maybe I'm Wrong and people start getting banned Left and right and I'm really sorry but Realistically I'm going to keep doing This so if someone's going to get banned First it's probably me but I did do it Yesterday on stream and Dan Clancy was In my stream and I didn't get banned so Take what you want from that did we add A disclaimer this is not legal advice we Need to put that in there I don't want To be responsible for bans anyway I'm Leaving in 10 minutes for a flight to
